In USA people with degrees in #Gender Studies only get jobs at universities, teaching—Gender Studies… (Cf. St. John Paul II’s ‘Theology of the Body’) “There is no demonstrable demand for graduates of ‘social gender studies’ in the Hungarian labor market. There is no economic rationale for studies such as these, and so we have reason to presume that it was not created in response to labor market needs, and equally not to furnish students with skills that can be readily and directly converted on the labor market…such programs take valuable resources away from other programs, and deteriorate the economic stability of universities.”

    • This is a hard read, although kicking out Soros is certainly not difficult to understand. Simple enough to understand ejecting leftist terrorism funding by a billionaire who suffers with childhood abuse issues. Targeting gender studies especially if done in the in the same broad stroke does not present a genuine concern for a policy developed from a Catholic view of virtue. That is, in particular it does not reflect the same gentle but not innocuous bumbling in Poland. This is a clear policy setting agenda against undermining by soft socialism in an Eastern European state that, like Poland, has seen too much of the hard edge of national and second and third international socialism. Hungary has good potential for keeping a true Catholic heart in the governance of the industrial sector. Clever as serpents is only one side of the formula, the side which must not become the corruption it ingests. With hard right policies in some parts of the EU this soft right may make apple carts unstable, no? Pray that the Holy Child keeps smiling and Hungary keeps listening. Doves undergo metanoia when striking the living stone which is built upon Peter; seagulls, not so much.
